The international group Assembled at the Esmeralda hotel before 9 am. Over 50 members and friends boarded the very new coach provided by Autobuses Ifach. We were greeted by our driver Augustine. We set off on time and enjoyed the smooth journey on the AP7 in fine weather.
Our first drop off was IKEA then on to Valencia city centre. We all dispersed to the Cafe’s for coffee and cakes. The Tourist Office is situated in the Town Hall. My Wife and I bought two tickets to the BIOPARC we boarded the number 67 EMT bus 1.50 euro each. We were impressed with the fine buildings and Architecture in the city centre.
The BIOPARC was beyond our expectations! We felt we had arrived in Africa on a Safari!
I took over 100 photos of the animals and creatures in the spectacular enclosures provided for the enjoyment of the many under threat Species. you can get very close as the animals as many are behind 25 cm thick glass ! perfect for photos. leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, wow!
We spent three and a half hours in the park a great experience.
All too soon we boarded the 67 bus and returned to the city Centre in time for afternoon coffee and a chance to catch up with our fellow travelers. Everyone all agreed that they had a great time and had a successful trip in the bright sunshine 23ºC.
On the return trip to Calpe there was jovial mood on the coach. we were all safely back at the Esmeralda hotel at 19.40 pm.
