Would you like to set up a group that doesn’t yet exist? You don’t have to be an expert or have any formal qualifications to set up a group. All you need is enthusiasm and willingness to take the initiative. Our Groups Coordinator will give you all the support and help you need to get your group off the ground.
Step 1
Once you have thought of a new group, work out when (how often) and where you would like the group to meet. It is important that you have some idea of a suitable venue for your group.
Contact Clive Dean, the Groups Coordinator, and let him know what you are planning. He will help you in any way he can. Once you have decided everything, including day, time, venue, etc., he will make up a ‘sign up sheet’/groups/groups-coordinator, which will include your contact details (phone number, and email address if you have one), print it out, and announce it at the next Coffee Morning and General Meeting and in the newsletter.
Step 2
People will sign the sheet, at the meeting. You will need to collect the sheet and make contact with all those who have signed up for the new group.
The group proposal will also be announced on this Web site. Other people may contact you as a result.
