Novelda (Alicante) Day Trip

Novelda is a city steeped in history and amazingly architecture, not least it’s Gaudí-inspired Sanctuary of Saint Mary Magdalene and the many examples of the Modernista, Art Nouveau period.
There will be an opportunity to explore many of these outstanding buildings as well as enjoying a friendly lunch in a local restaurant.
Novelda is a mostly unknown gem in the Alicante Province.
The Sanctuary of Saint Mary Magdalene inspired by Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the Mola Castle are the first stop on this excursion with time to explore these amazing buildings and admire the views.
A short transfer into Novelda centre where there will be free time to visit the other architectural jewels: The Modernist House Museum, the Gomez-Tortosa Cultural Centre and St Peter’s Church among them.
Entry is free to all of these buildings with the exception of the Modernist House Museum, €3.
We will then gather for menu del día in a local restaurant renowned for it’s traditional cuisine.
We will leave Calpe at 10.00 and arrive back approximately 18.00.
